Appeal for the masjid
We would like to make an appeal to everyone associated with Tawakkulia Jamia Masjid
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
إِنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ لَتُطْفِئُ غَضَبَ الرَّبِّ وَتَدْفَعُ مِيتَةَ السُّوءِ ”.
Anas bin Malik narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah said: “Indeed charity extinguishes the Lord’s anger and it protects against the evil death.”

About us and our history.
Tawak’kulia Islamic society was first established in 1969 and started from 40 Cornwall Road on the same Road. The society later bought 42 Cornwall Road and both houses became Tawakkulia Masjid.
Mid 1970’s, the Society bought the land of 48 Cornwall Road and raised funds to build the first purposely built Masjid in Bradford!
The first phase of the project was to build the masjid on one floor, which was completed in late 1970, early 1980’s.
The second phase of the masjid was completed by creating a 2nd floor which provided a much needed teaching space for children learning Arabic and an overflow prayer facility.
Phase 3 of the masjid, included the building of the dome & the minaret.
